Engaging with the Fox Islands Community

The 2009 turbines are reaching the end of their useful life. Like any equipment, the mechanical components are wearing out and will need to be replaced. The FIW Board of Directors meets regularly to discuss company financials, power costs, maintenance activities, and the future of the company.

The meetings of FIW’s Board of Directors are open to the members and patrons of Fox Islands Electric Cooperative, Inc., FIW’s parent company. FIW periodically holds public meetings to present and discuss proposed activities with the North Haven and Vinalhaven communities.
